Winter Nail Art Trends You Can Do At Home

Posted by on

As we roll into a new season of uncertainty about our world, you may be struggling with the idea of winter cheer. When it comes to getting in the holiday spirit, we encourage you to get creative — literally — and you can start with your nails!

There are some exciting new winter trends you can experiment with right at home. Our friend, nail tech Lauren Adams, shared her at-home marbling technique on our Instagram to get you started. Below are some more ideas we’d love to see you try yourself!

Negative Space

This winter, you could trade solid nail colors for a cool design on top of a clear base coat. It’s called negative-space nail art, and it adds creative dimension to your manicure. This look is all about the details, so practice patience!

Dark Colors With Shimmer

Adding a sparkling gold coat to a deeper shade creates the ideal manicure for holiday parties and gatherings (be sure to social distance). But even if you plan on staying home, there’s just something festive about combining a hint of sparkle with our deep red polishes.

The French Manicure

This classic look is now edgier than ever. For a twist, completely reverse your white tip by applying a line of polish to your cuticle line instead. Either way, the French manicure embodies sophistication. Try it with our shades Victorious and Blessed, or switch it up even more with bolder colors.

Animal Print

If you’re looking for a challenge, animal print is always a winter staple! Combine your favorite browns and nudes for a fierce look that will go with just about anything.

While you’re practicing your nail art, don’t forget to keep your hands and feet moisturized and thriving. And make sure to tag us in your at-home manicures on social media, @RootedWoman. We’d love to share your designs with the Rooted Woman community!
